Young Person of the Year: You’re truly our pride – Amb. Usman Bello Extols Oladele Nihi’s Virtues

Amb. Usman Bello was full of praises for Amb. Oladele Nihi, Vice President, West Africa Pan-African Youth Union, PYU, as he bagged an award of excellence as the outstanding young person of the year in Kogi State.

The award was conferred on Oladele Nihi in Lokoja by the “The Nigerian Post Newspaper” during her annual lecture on the topic: “Governance, Leadership Re-Defined, This House Must Not Fall”.

Presenting the award, Nigerian former Ambassador to Sudan and Chairman, JNI Amb. Usman Bello who presented the award, described Amb Oladele as a Worthy ambassador to the Youth, praised him for bringing NYCN to limelight.

Amb. Usman expressed happiness with his exploit as Vice President, West Africa Pan-African Youth Union, PYU, urged him to sustain the feat, pointing out that the award should spur him in doing more for the youths of the state.

Amb. Usman asked the award recipients to continue to serve as a role model for other described the Amb. Oladele Nihi as an a symbol of excellence in Youth struggle.

In a remark at the occasion, Amb. Oladele Nihi, described
Nigerian youths as veritable tools for National development.

Vice President, West Africa Pan-African Youth Union, PYU, Comrade Oladele Nihi described the topic of the annual lecture titled; ” Governance Leadership Re-Defined This House Must Not Fall ” as apt in view of present situation in Nigeria said the youths have a greater role to play in sustaining the labour of the nation’s founding fathers.

According to him, the youths will play an outstanding role in next year’s general election by putting round peg in a round role as per voting candidates that would build a lasting legacy for the nation and restore dignity and prosperity of it’s citizens.

The PYU Vice President commended Governor Yahaya Bello for redefining leadership in the State through youth inclusion in governance to give then a sense of belonging.

He assured the Editor-in-Chief of the Nigerian Post, Comrade Mike Abu of the continued support of youths having giving them a platform and a voice through his paper.

Earlier, Comrade Mike Abu has described Comrade Oladele Nihi as a vibrant, astute and outstanding youth whose impact in leadership is gaining momentum across Nigeria and West Africa.
