“Women deserve more”, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim declares on International Women’s Day

Kogi PDP stalwart and former guber aspirant, Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Ibrahim has on the occasion of this year’s International Women’s Day declared that women deserve more than they are getting at the moment in terms of dividends of democracy and the good things of life.

While underscoring the invaluable role women play in the society, the philanthropist advocated that there is need for more women inclusion in governance and in terms of the criteria for filling job vacancies.

“The value of a woman in the society cannot be over-emphasized. Even in our dear Kogi State, the women are more than just mothers and potential mothers, they are pillars and in many instances they are even the breadwinners of their respective families.

“On this special day, I join the #BreakTheBias campaign and I say Yes to end to discrimination against women in terms of leadership recruitment processes, in terms of dividends of democracy and in terms of employment opportunities,” Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim said…. Continue reading
