International Women’s Day: Hon. Shaba Ibrahim advocates for more women inclusion in leadership and at workplaces


 

 

Member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim MHR; has felicitated with Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency women on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

In the commemoration message to the constituency women, the lawmaker said; “Happy International Women’s Day to you, our ever-resilient and hardworking daughters, sisters and mothers in the constituency. You inspire me in no little way. Your support for me is beyond measure and beyond doubt. For that I appreciate you all.

“Today being International Women’s Day, is a day set aside to celebrate you all across the world. The theme of this year’s celebration, which is ‘Break The Bias’ says it all as to what indeed our society needs right now.

“As an individual and as a federal representative and lawmaker, I have been a strong advocate for more and more women inclusion in leadership selection and in terms of giving more opportunities to women at workplace.”

“Gone are the days women were being made to play backbench roles in the society. Women are pillars and as such I so celebrate you all on this day,” the lawmaker further added.
