INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: HON. LEKE ABEJIDE CELEBRATES ALL WOMEN.

The Honourable Member Representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide celebrates all the women especially Yagba Women on the occasion of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration.

The theme of this year’s women’s day has a strong message that women need to hold significantly “#BreakingTheBias”.

He said, “Women are light bears in our communities and as such we must recognise and celebrate them at all times”. Their importance in building a healthy and peaceful society can not be underestimated and as such we must join hands to challenge gender-based violence, victimisation against women, rape and challenges that raise the bars against women in our society.

We must encourage women to take leadership positions and also support them so their voices will be heard, that their rights be protected at cost.

Therefore, today and every day, Hon. Leke Abejide celebrates the achievements of women and their contributions to the development of families, homes and communities in Yagba and around the world.

To the strong and will-powered women who take up challenges to strive and pursue success, Happy International Women’s Day!
