An All Progressives Congress Chieftain in Yagba West LGA says the party lost in the Assembly Election owing to imposition of candidate.
In a message he sent to Nigerian Post but wants to remain anonymous says:
” Yagba West is a local government that’s different from all local governments.
You don’t impose a candidate that’s not the popular demands of the people.
During the era of PDP, this similar scenario happened when the late Hon. Ropo Asala was imposed on the people against the interests of the populace.
A protest vote was made that brought Hon. Bidemi Adeyemi of ACN, a minority party against the ruling PDP then which gave him the position of a minority whip.
History have repeated itself again today and this should be a lesson against future occurrence, if not, what’s the voting strengths of ADC that gave them this landslide victory?
This shows that majority of APC aren’t happy with the emergence of the flag bearer, had the majority who shouted Hossana hasn’t said crucified?
Coming to alleged that some selected few were the ones who did anti party and made APC to lose, are those people the leaders of other units and wards that equally lost to ADC?
Instead of admitting their faults and learn, they are accusing some persons for their inability not to put their houses in order.
If they had done the needful, will Kuli had left for a minority party? It had clearly shown that the Kuli is a plus to APC and not minus.
The same people who called him inconsequential can’t even deliver their units not to talk of wards.
Yagba West is too exposed to be domesticated, House of Assembly election is conducted by INEC and not SIEC.
Nester Bob Marley said, “you can fool some people sometimes but you cannot fool all the people all the time”.
Recall that the APC Chieftain was reacting to a call for the APC to sanction some members in Yagba West for embarking on anti party activities at the just concluded House of Assembly election where the party lost to the ADC.
