The Management of Lounge 1, Lokoja, has sent a message of congratulations to the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, on his outstanding contributions to the growth of the Polytechnic.
In a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, Hon. Paul Ukwenya, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Lounge 1, described the accomplishments in the Polytechnic under Prof. Ogbo as unprecedented.
He added that it was not a surprise that his good works that are feasible for the eyes to see, culminated into his appointment as the Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba.
The statement highlighted achievements during Prof. Ogbo’s tenure as what culminated into the significant progress made at the Polytechnic.
Hon. Ukwenya praised the restoration of peace and security on campus, 100% accreditation status for all programmes, Introduction of new programmes, including; Mechatronics Engineering, Technology and Agricultural Technology as well as the establishment of the Directorate of Information Technology Resources Centre (ITRC) and Directorate of Sports as a watershed.
The Managing Director of the leading hospitality outfit in Lokoja added that the renovation of hostels and return of students to campus, Construction of new infrastructure, including a security building and a health centre by Prof. Usman as legacies that will be remembered for a long time in the history of the Polytechnic.
The Statement noted with optimism that Prof. Ogbo’s magic wand will rub off on the Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, described the new Vice Chancellor as a man with the Midas touch.
” You have proven to be a miracle worker. I’m proud of your accomplishments. I’m indeed very sure that like you did in the Polytechnic, PAAU, will also witness another turn around under your leadership as Vice Chancellor”.
” As you transit to another challenging task. It is my prayers that Almighty God will help you in conquering heights unsurpassed since the establishment of the Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba”.
