Some violent driven Fulani youths that wreaked havoc during the just concluded Sallah celebrations have been arrested by the special NSCDC CG cracksquad in Abuja.
The arrested gang in the exuberances destroyed some Immigration officers vehicles at Sauka axis and same is said to be replicated along ShopRite at Lugbe and National Amusement park axis
Recall that most of the Fulani exuberant youth were alleged to have boarded many cab and refused to pay while brandishing their weapon. This also call for concern on the extent to which the public space could be engaged with weapon of such which could cause panic among the public. The need for a rule of engagement in using such weapon must not only be engaged but all Seriki Fulani must be made to be aware that they are severally liable for liability arising from violence occassioned by their youths.
A security consultant, Dr Onibiyo has emphasised the need for all national critical assets that are engaged in hospitality to emplace adequate security around their assets to ensure that both festive celebrant and the passerbys are properly secured.
He called on NSCDC as the lead agency for the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure to continually processed the readiness of each of the hospitality assets ahead of festive period in a bid to ensure adequate security measures are taken both for the celebrants and the others
The arrested gang of five have since been released on bail.
