With a joyful heart of gratitude to God, the Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA) on behalf of the Olu-Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, HRH, Oba Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, ACA (Ahe-Maworo I), the Olu-Adde-In-Council, and the entire Ekinrin-Adde community, heartily congratulates our illustrious son and acclaimed scholar, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi on your meritorious appointment as the first indigenous Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja. EACDA reckons that Prof. Olayemi, a globally renowned professor of History, who is currently the Deputy Vice- Chancellor Academics, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and a former president, Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) is unarguably deserving of the appointment which was made from an array of Professors who contested for the job.
The appointment of Prof. Akinwumi as Vice-Chancellor, is a pride to Ekinrin-Adde community, Ijumu land, Okun nation and Kogi State in general. We have a strong conviction that considering your enviable pedigree as a thorough-bred academic with an impeccable record of career odyssey, a vast local and international experience, exposure and network, there is no doubting that you will assuredly make remarkable impact in turning around the fortunes of the University under your watch. As you step up on the ladder of national service, we pray that God will grant you good health, favour, essential wisdom and understanding, as well as the courage of conviction to discharge your duties most honourably, thereby etching your name in gold in the history books.
