Tragic Trailer Accident in Felele: Proprietor Prime Polytechnic Sympathizes With FUL

The Proprietor, Prime Polytechnic, Gidan Bassa, Arch. Bishop Emeka Anierobi, has sympathized with the Management, Staff and Students of Federal University Lokoja, over the recent tragic incident that claimed the lives of seven students of the University.

This is as the Proprietor equally called on the State Government to interface with the Federal Government on the restriction of movement along the Felele highway during the day as is operational in Kaduna State.

Similarly, the Proprietor described the loss as a loss to the entire country, pointing out that the students who were lost in the incident could have been future President, Senate President, Chief of Army Staff or Governor’s, described the frequent and recent accidents along the Felele Road as one too many.

” On behalf of the Prime Polytechnic, we commiserate with the Federal University, the Vice Chancellor, the staff, the Students”, pointing out that their pains is our pain.

” We pray for their parents and for the reposed of the souls of those who lost their lives”.

” We strongly advised that just like it is obtained in Kaduna State where Trailers don’t pass the metropolis during the day, urge the Kogi State Government to liase with the Federal Government on the need to have a time of movement for trailers within the Lokoja Felele highway during the day time”

The Proprietor called on the need to increase the speed bumps level along the Felele like is obtained around the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, pointing out that the heights of the bump, even in a situation of break failures, becomes difficult for the Trailers to run with velocity and not get stuck in the bump.

The Proprietor said Prime Polytechnic shares in the pain, sympathized with the University Community, the Federal and State Government over the loss.
