Before the party primaries, many described the candidacy of Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi as a divine mandate. Senator Karimi’s emergence as the voice of Kogi West Senatorial District was not just a political victory. For thousands across the district, from Kogi LGA to Egbe, it was the affirmation of leadership built on performance, accessibility, and unity.

He has worked to carry all groups along — irrespective of LGA, party leaning, or background. From the riverine areas of Kogi LGA to the hinterlands of Egbe, his message has remained the same: _“We are one people with one destiny.”
For the people at the grassroots, the calculation is simple. They have seen a Senator who is accessible, who responds, and who delivers.
His style of leadership — consultative, down-to-earth, and focused on results — has made him a rallying point ahead of the forthcoming Senatorial District election.
With the structure, goodwill, and performance behind him, the confidence within APC is that with Senator Karimi, Kogi West will vote overwhelmingly. Party leaders say “all hands will be on deck” to ensure victory is not just won, but won convincingly.
Beyond projects, Senator Karimi represents something deeper: unity. At a time when politics can easily divide, he has chosen to unite. As one elder in Egbe put it: “He came with a mandate from the people, and he has returned it to the people in the form of service.”
