State Assembly autonomy: Commission boss lauds Gov Bello on taking lead

As Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission rounded off its second anniversary celebration, Governor Yahaya Bello has been lauded for taking the lead in assenting to state assembly autonomy bill in 2018.
Chairman,Kogi State Assembly Service Commission, Alh Andas Abdulmalik who gave this commendation at the closure of programmes for the second year anniversary celebration.
Alh Andas Abdulmalik who who said that though the issue of financial autonomy was a national problem, added that Governor Bello also took the lead in constituting the commission in 2019.
He noted that the commission was constituted to take care of staff interest,welfare, promotion and put up disciplinary measures when the need arose..
While stating that the Commissioners are keenly interested in service delivery, he assured that challenges of office accommodation, more trainings and others would soon be overcome.
Permanent Commissioner, Hon Arome Adoji assured that workers’ welfare would continue to be made priority, adding that efforts were on to do more in addressing transportation problem.
He charges workers to be more dedicated to duties and be focused just as Clerk of the House, Alh Issa Ibrahim Amoka also urged workers use trainings received.
to enhance their capacities .
Amoka also urged workers to cooperate with the Commission so as to reach their goals.
Earlier, Permanent Commissioner, Hon Duro Meseko who declared the trainings closed, appreciated God and the planning committee for a successful program.
While stating that there was no limit to trainings and knowledge, he noted that the Commission was facing teething challenges but expressed hope that the just concluded trainings we’re capable of making staff the best in the country.
