Bassa people in Nigeria have been called upon to show mercy to one another to attract divine blessings .

A Contestant of National President of Bassa Cultural Development Union BCDU Chief Paul Maiwaida made the call in his New Year Felicitation message to The Bassa people of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

Chief Paul Maiwaida said Bassa people can not achieve much unless the receive mercy of God and expressing gratitude to God for his protection, guidance, mercy upon the Bassa of Kogi State and the country at large.

Chief Paul Maiwaida Prayed God to make 2024 the year of harvest, blessings and testimony for Bassalite in Nigeria and world over.

Chief Maiwada predicted a better Kogi State , Nigeria of a renewed hope and called on the people to walk in the part of peace at all times for the rapid development of the country.

He also predicted the return of Bassa people in Nasarawa and Kogi who left their ancestral home as a result of crisis through the coordinated efforts of the two governors.

According to him, Bassa people and the entire world have every reason to admonish, adore and thank God for his creation and the life given to mankind.

The president hopeful called on the Bassa people of the country to sustain prayers, dedication to God, for the president of the country Alhaji Bola Tinubu’s administration, Governors of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Nasarawa State Abdullahi Sule and the Governor Elect Alhaji Usman Ododo to Govern the state and the country in the fear of God and lead the nation to the promise land.

Chief Paul Maiwaida called on Bassa people in the country to commit themselves to the task of Nation building and peaceful coexistence noting that development can only take place in an atmosphere devoid of crisis and incessant killings of innocent citizens.

The Aspirant appealed to security agencies in the country to tackle the resugence of unwanton massacre of Nigerians in some parts of the country and bring the perpetrators of the dastardly acts to book

Chief Paul Maiwaida appealed to the federal government to show more compassion in its dealing with Nigerians in the face of excruciating hardship associated with the removal of subsidy.

The BCDU Presidential Aspirant, Paul Maiwaida Congratulated the Governor Elect Alhaji Usman Ododo on his birthday and prayed God for his birthday ushering a year of great accomplishment, prosperity and success in his new role as the leader of Kogi State.
