It was yet another day of Promotion, Recognition and above all , the reaffirmation of their unflinching dedication to the Service of their various Communities and humanity in general as the United Nations, Peace Promotion and Positive Living Awareness Centre, honoured Princess Nkoyo, Affiong Robin, Atim Tolbert and other distinguished Nigerians with the United Nations Peace Ambassador’s Award.

 


The trio were Conferred along side other Awardees with the United Nations Peace Promotion and Positive Living Awareness Centre, UN- POLAC Award, at a Ceremony held to Commemorate the 2024 world Peace day, at the Banquet Hall of the National merit Award House, Maitama Abuja, Thursday March 28,2024, titled, “Culture of peace Awareness/ Unveiling and Commissioning,peace alive Initiative/peace Award/ Appointment Investiture/paper Presentation, with the theme, ” Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) Resources: Cornerstone of Peace”.

The Ceremony our Correspondent gathered, was attended by Members of the National Assembly, Top Government functionaries, heads of Government agencies and Parastatal, Non-governmental Organizations, Security agencies and awardees from all walks of live within and outside the Shores of Nigeria.

Speaking to the media Shortly after their Investiture and appointments, Princess Nkoyo and Atim Tolbert in their separate remarks, expressed Profound Gratitude to UN- POLAC for the honor and kind gestures accorded them, describing the Award as a mark of honour and recognition of their little Contributions to their immediate Community and humanity in general in peace building and ensuring harmonious Coexistence amongst Nigerians and the entire human race.

Atim Tolbert, a Nigerian based in the United States of America, said the Award would Strengthen and induce her in to more Service in the Promotion of peace and also Deepening her efforts in humanitarian Service delivery.

Also Speaking, Amb. Affiong Robin a United Kingdom based Nigerian, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of PHATBIRD LTD, who also works as a Caregiver, said she feel highly elated by the honor accorded her by UN- POLAC, pointing out that the Award Conferred on her was a call to more Service to humanity by engaging herself and others in efforts that would ensure peaceful and harmonious Coexistence in the Society.
