Senator Neda Imasuen Accepts Party Decision, Drops Re- Election Process

Senator Neda Imasuen of the All Progressives Congress,APC, have
withdrawn from the party primaries to contest the 2027 Election to the senate.
Imasuen, in a letter to his supporters and party faithful, said , “I have accepted the decision of our party, notwithstanding the circumstances surrounding the primary process. | firmly believe that the unity, stability, and progress of our great party must always take precedence over individual ambitions”.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has picked Ogbeide Ihama as the candidate for Edo South Senatorial District.
In his letter of acceptance, he said,
“I have accepted the decision of our great party following the conclusion of the process that led to the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Edo South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general election, as decided by the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party.
“As a Committed democrat and loyal member of the All Progressives Congress, I have accepted the decision of our party, notwithstanding the circumstances surrounding the primary process. | firmly believe that the unity, stability, and progress of our great party must always take precedence over individual ambitions.
” I sincerely thank my numerous supporters, party members, leaders, stakeholders, and well-wishers who stood firmly with me throughout this journey.
“Your unwavering loyalty, prayers, encouragement, and confidence in my leadership have been truly humbling. i do not take your steadfast support for granted, and | remain profoundly grateful.
He, however, appealed to his supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and united, adding that they should all demonstrate the maturity, discipline, and sense of responsibility for which they were known for.
“This is the time to close ranks, strengthen our bond as one political family, and work together to ensure the continued success and victory of the All Progressives Congress in the elections ahead.
“My commitment to the people of Edo South Senatorial District remains unwavering. I will continue to dedicate myself to the service of our people, the development of Edo State, and the progress of our nation. | remain committed to supporting every genuine effort that promotes good governance, democratic ideals, and the continued growth and success of our great party”, he added.
He expressed confidence that with unity of purpose and guided by shared vision, they will continue to build a stronger APC and a brighter future for the people of Edo South, Edo State, and Nigeria.
