The Management of Kogi State Water Board says restoration of pumping of Lokoja Greater Water will commence in the next 2 weeks.
The General Manger of the Board Engineer Adullsalam Sagir, announced this while inspecting the level of damage done to the pipes at Greater Lokoja water works in Lokoja.
Engineer Sagir assured that the pipes which bursted will be replaced before pumping of water to resident will commence.
He said over thirty percent of water been pumped were wasted during the period of the damage and enjoined residents to exercise patience has everything was being done to resuscitate water supply soon.
He said the damage to the pipes was due to rust occasioned by soil impact on the pipe.
