LOKOJA I 2027: Why Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijani Remains The Winning Card

In the last few days, the political pulse of Lokoja I State Constituency has been dominated by one name — Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijani. And for good reason.
As the build-up to the 2027 general elections gathers momentum, constituents, stakeholders and party faithful are increasingly coming to one conclusion: continuity is better than experiment. And Hon. Bin-Ebaiya represents continuity with results.
From the hallowed chambers of the Kogi State House of Assembly, the lawmaker has given Lokoja I a voice that is intelligent, respectable and effective. He is not a bench-warmer. His legislative interventions speak for themselves:
A Lawmaker With Visible Footprints
– He moved the motion for the urgent rehabilitation of the dilapidated Marine Police Station in Lokoja, drawing attention to the security of our inland waterways and the livelihoods of traders and transporters.
– He championed the call for palliatives for victims of the GSM Village fire disaster at Kpata, standing with young entrepreneurs when it mattered most.
– He demanded the establishment of a Rehabilitation Centre for victims of drug abuse, rape and gender-based violence — a humane and forward-thinking proposal.
– He pushed for the introduction of Maritime Courses in Kogi State Polytechnic, CUSTECH Osara and KS University Kabba, positioning our youth to benefit from Kogi’s vast water resources.
These are not abstract motions. They touch security, economy, youth, health and education — the real issues of Lokoja I.
Tested, Trusted and Accepted
It was no surprise that on May 20, 2026, Hon. Bin-Ebaiya emerged unopposed, securing the APC return ticket for Lokoja I through affirmation in all five wards. Party members turned out en masse, affirming him as their choice. That affirmation was not imposed — it was earned through accessibility, listening ears, and grassroots engagement.
He is urbane yet deeply rooted, exposed yet culturally grounded, accomplished yet accessible. He does not need to learn on the job.
Why We Must Maintain The Winning Team
Lokoja I cannot afford to gamble with its future. In politics, a winning team is not changed.
Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijani has built bridges across Wards A, B, C, D and E. He has represented all without bias. He has defended our traditional institution, supported our youth, and projected Lokoja positively at the state level.
Replacing a performing lawmaker with an untested alternative will only take us backwards.
This is the time for constituents of Lokoja I — elders, women, youths, artisans, traders and students — to rally behind the man who has proven that representation can be effective, purposeful and people-centred.
Let us maintain the winning team for a better, more secure and more prosperous Lokoja I.
Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijani is the winning card. Let us keep winning.
