An appeal has been made to delegates to the All Progressives Congress National Convention to vote Gov. Yahaya Bello to enable him rescue the country.
Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, Executive Secretary, Kogi State Office For Disability Affairs, made the appeal while addressing pressmen in Lokoja, described Gov. Bello as the new wine Nigeria needs.
Barr. Dare explained that Nigeria stands to make the desired progress if Gov. Bello is elected as the next President, described the Presidential Aspirant as young and energetic, assured that his capacity to govern the country would benefit the people.
Barr. Dare described Gov. Bello as a digital minded presidential aspirant, explained that he has demonstrated capacity, expressed confidence that with the highest voting demography made up of the youths and women, Gov. Yahaya Bello would emerge victorious.
Barr. Dare who was upbeat on the Governor’s victory, said already 80% of Nigerian Youths and women have cued behind the presidential aspiration of Gov. Bello, described the youth and the women as favourably disposed to working with Gov. Bello as President.
The Executive Secretary assured that Gov. Bello would not disappoint Nigerians if elected, expressed optimism that he can tackle the problems of insecurity, ritual killings, kidnapping and banditry facing the country.
Barr. Dare expressed confidence that Gov. Bello’s Presidency would nip in the bud the challenges of insurgency, terrorism, pipeline vandalization and end the challenging issues of unemployment.
The Executive Secretary disclosed that in Kogi State, Gov. Bello has demonstrated that youths and women can be gainfully engaged, maintained that in Kogi Youth occupy sensitive positions with women enjoying more than the 35% reserved for appointment by UNESCO.
The Executive Secretary urged members of the APC not to allow the opportunity presented by the Gov. Bello’s aspiration to elude the country, pointing out that, Gov. Bello represents the yearning and aspiration of Nigerians for a new Nigeria.
