The Peoples Democratic Party Candidate for Kabba Bunu 1 State Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Esenyi, popularly known as 1212, has commended Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo for appointing Hon. Austine Alaba Medaiyedu as Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilization.
In a statement issued in Kabba on Friday, Hon. Esenyi described the appointment as another milestone accomplishment of the Ododo administration and a clear indication of the Governor’s broad-based leadership style.
According to him, the appointment is not only apt but also a direct demonstration of Governor Ododo’s unprecedented love for Kabba and Kabba Bunu Local Government Area.
“The efforts of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, in Kabba Bunu LGA remain a watershed. This appointment further proves that the Governor is intentional about carrying every segment of our people along, regardless of political affiliation,” Esenyi said.
The PDP House of Assembly hopeful expressed confidence that Hon. Medaiyedu, whom he described as a “round peg in a round hole,” will justify the confidence reposed in him. He noted that the new SSA has over the years proven to be a goal getter with deep roots in grassroots politics and community engagement.
Hon. Esenyi also assured Governor Ododo of the total support of the people of Kabba Bunu LGA, years saying the Governor’s style of politics is inclusive and gives every citizen a sense of belonging.
“Gov. Ododo is running a government that listens. A government that rewards hard work and loyalty to the people. On behalf of PDP stakeholders in Kabba Bunu 1, we assure you of our continued support as you drive development across Kogi State,” he added.
The appointment of Hon. Medaiyedu is seen by many in Kabba Bunu as strategic, coming at a time when the Ododo administration is intensifying grassroots sensitization on government policies, security, and developmental projects across the state.
Political stakeholders in the LGA, particularly the PDP Assembly Candidate for Kabba Bunu 1, described the appointment as timely, noting that it will further bridge the gap between government and the people at the ward level.
