Chief Lanre Adesina was a great humanitarian, a prominent community leader, a seasoned technocrat, a father to many, an embodiment of of love and charity, a mentor and role model worthy of emulation that was full of selfless service to God and humanity.
There are many glowing tales about Chief Adesina, but discussing him in past tense is indeed an agonizing experience
His shocking and tragic death has etched a frightening spectre on my psyche and compels me to ask the reccuring question, what is life really worth?
Today, I am forced to say farewell to a visionary & compassionate leader, my confidant, my counselor, very loving, caring and kindhearted
We became very close when he knew I was his late friend younger brother, late Mr Segun Ikusagba which according to him they were class mate and best of friend at United Secondary Commercial College, Odo-Ere
Chief Lanre Adesina has since then transfer that same love he have for my brother his late friend(Segun) to me
Over the years, I have been following his body movement politically because of the love, fatherly support, Godly Counsel and timely intervention on my personal issues and needs
It was a great loss to me and several others that he has touched their lives including the church he attends and community as a whole
I am however consoled by the fact that he lived a life of service to humanity; a life of persistent self-sacrifice; a life of unbelievable generosity
Better still, his rare love, generosity, integrity and benefaction are towering trademarks that will make his sojourn on earth unforgettable
YOU THEREFORE LIVE ON MY BENEFACTOR AS YOUR GOOD DEEDS CONTINUE TO INVOKE GOOD MEMORIES ABOUT YOU AND MAKE YOU FOREVER EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY IMMORTALISED
Adieu my Great Uncle and Benefactor! Adieu Man of the People! Adieu an Exemplary Humanitarian!
Continue to rest in the bosom of your Creator, till we meet to part no more
Good Night my Exceptional Godsent Destiny Helper
