-.. VC applauds Gov. Bello for facilitating success of accreditation
Following a successful accreditation exercise conducted by the Council of Legal Education in August this year, the admission quota for undergraduate law programmes of Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba has been increased from 60 to 100 slots.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, Tenuche who disclosed this in a press statement said the increase is with effect from the 2022/2023 admission exercise.
The implication is that, instead of 60 that were usually admitted for the programmes out of teeming applicants, the University could now admit up to 100, an increase of over 66 percent.
The Vice-Chancellor therefore expressed gratitude to the Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for the financial and other logistics support given to the University, before, during and after the accreditation.
She said with the enormous requirements for the accreditation, it would have been impossible for the University to scale the hurdle without the unflinching support of the State Government.
She also appreciated the Governor for the support and encouragement that led to the commencement of undergraduate programmes in Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmacology in the College of Health Sciences of the University.
It would be recalled that the Council of Legal Education, led by the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Isa Hayatu Chiroma, paid accreditation visit to the University earlier in the year, leading to increase in the admission quotas approved by the body.
