FUL Matriculates 3584 Students For 2021/2022 Academic Session


 

As VC says through hard work and firing from all cylinders, FUL has made significant contributions to the society.

 

A total of 3584 students have matriculated In the 2021/2022 academic session at the Federal University Lokoja, with a call on the students to be determined and not be deterred.

The Vice-chancellor, Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi made the disclosure at the matriculation exercise held at the Adankolo campus of the University.

The Vice Chancellor maintained that the University has in the last 2years under his administration recorded modest achievements, explained that through hard work and firing from all cylinders, the FUL has made significant contributions to the society, maintaining an efficiently run, self-reliant, workable institution.

While pointing out that the Federal University Lokoja has envisioned a university renowned for its capacity to provide all essential services that students yearn for, become a cynosure of all eyes, called for the excellent performances of the new students, advised them to avoid any act of cultism, examination malpractices, indecent dressing, cybercrime (yahoo-yahoo), and other fraudulent practices inimical to your academic progress.

The Vice Chancellor disclosed that all infrastructural development projects initiated in the last 18 months of his administration are progressing according to schedule, mentioned the newly established federal university Lokoja College of Health Sciences, Adankolo which also has its first 100-level student as part of the matriculating students as a reality and dream come true.

He added that the 12 blocks of classrooms, the entrepreneurship center, the mini-stadium, and the expanded medical center amongst many other projects taking place simultaneously aimed at creating enabling environment for students to thrive, added that efforts are in top gear to provide accommodation on campus and additional commuter buses to ease transportation for all of you.

The matriculation of the Federal University Lokoja is the 10th and the 3rd under the administration of Prof Olayemi as the 3rd substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University, he urged the students to take advantage of the opportunity to get admitted to build bridges across ethnic, religious, and tribal barriers on their path to greatness.

While the Vice Chancellor expressed optimism that the new students will find fulfillment in studying there desired courses at the FUL, hinged his optimism on a very passionate workforce available to help the students through the process of time.

A summary of the admission statistics showed that out of the total registered students of 3584, Arts had 597, Education 680, Management Sciences 334, Science 1376, in Social Sciences 539, MB;BS 58

The gender demography shows that they Male students are -1778 while the females are 1759
