The All Progressives Congress (APC) today in Benin City received Over 2000 members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to their fold in preparation for a total victory in the coming general elections.
In his address, the leader of the defectors who was the Oredo NNPP Local Government party Chairman, Mr. Martins Oshodin who defected with his Secretary, woman leader, 12 Wards Chairmen and other members of the party promised to work for the victory of the party come 2023.
Oshodin said his soujourn to other political parties, including NNPP have enable him to know the differences among the political parties in the state, adding that he decided to return to APC were he felt he truly belong.
He said before now that his spirit and soul and that of his group has been in APC even while they were in NNPP. He added that more people from his former party will be joining APC soon.
On his part, the APC Oredo local government party chairman, Mr. Osamudiamen Osarenkhoe welcomed the new members from NNPP to APC.
He described their coming as the beginning of a new journey and prosperity. He assumed them of equal treatment with other members in the party. “You came to plant today and you will reap the benefits as we move on in the party
The chairman introduced all the candidates contesting on the platform of the party in Oredo, including Hon. Valentine Asuen to the new members.
The Edo Central Senatorial candidate, Hon. Valentine Asuen who was also present at the event assumed the new members that they will be fully accommodated in the party, adding that the All Progressives Party (APC) was an organized party.
“You will be part of history to produce the youngest Senator in Edo State come 2023, said Hon. Asuen.
