Salihu Ishak Akpaku, former Peoples Democratic Party Youth Leader and Alhassan Muh’d Ozugbe who alongside several others recently crossed to the All Progressives Congress said there exit from the PDP signals end of the party in Kogi LGA.
Recalled that some members of the PDP recently defected to the
APC, in a meeting with the leader of the Party in Kogi LGA, Engr Bashiru Gegu, said about a hundred of them according to Salihu Ishak Akpaku
left the party to join hands in building a strong and virile APC.
The defectors to APC hinted that under Gov Bello, several communities have been electrified, with others provided with Water, expressed satisfaction with the Improvement in health facilities as reason for there defection.
The defectors all pledged their loyalty to Gov. Bello through the Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, assuring that with their joining the APC, it has signaled the death of the PDP in Kogi LGA.
Speaking at the meeting, Engr. Bashiru Gegu assured that the defectors would be given a prominent place in the party, described the APC as a party that has done more for the people of the area since the State‘s creation.
Engr. Bashiru commended the leadership of Gov. Yahaya Bello, said Kogi LGA have never had it so good like it is witnessing now under the present administration, assured of the loyalty and support of the people of Kogi LGA to the administration.
