
ONOGIE AFEMAI COMMENDS KOGI WATER RESOURCES COMMISSIONER FOR SUPPORT TO AFEMAI COMMUNITY

… Traditional ruler urges Afemai residents to remain law-abiding and support state government
The Onogie of Afemai in Lokoja, Alhaji Zakari Dangana, has commended Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk, for his support and goodwill towards Afemai people in the state capital.
Alhaji Dangana gave the commendation during his monthly meeting with his Palace Chiefs, pledged the continued support of the Afemai community to the Commissioner and other indigenes of Lokoja.
He particularly praised the leadership of the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammed Kabir Maikarfi IV, describing it as peaceful and instrumental to the development, growth, and prosperity of the people.
The Onogie lauded Engr. Farouk’s financial support of N200,000, recently redeemed, during the last Afemai Day celebration, described the gesture as commendable.
He called on sons and daughters of Afemai living in Lokoja to respect constituted authorities and remain law-abiding and peaceful in their conduct.
Alhaji Dangana also applauded the Afemai community for its peaceful coexistence with other groups in Lokoja and urged them to continue supporting the present administration in Kogi State while serving as good ambassadors of the people.
