Omala Assembly Member Offers Free JAMB Registration For Over 200 students In Private Schools In Omala, Complements GYB Free Education Policy.

The Member representing Omala State Constituency at the Kogi state House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Yahaya has complemented Gov. Yahaya Bello’s Free Education Policy, procures JAMB forms for over 200 students in Private schools in Omala Local Government Area.

 

Hon. Umar Yahaya said the Educational Support Program he initiated is designed to complement the laudable free education policy of Governor Yahaya Bello, who recently procured JAMB Forms for 15,033 students of public schools across the state.

 

The lawmaker stated that the program is not only a fulfillment of the promises he made during his campaign period but also a testament to his commitment to his constituents.

He assured them that additional initiatives for empowerment will be introduced in the near future, assured that his representation is geared towards serving the people.

 

“I made some promises during my campaign period and have been diligently working to fulfill them. One of the key initiatives I undertook was an expansive Empowerment program that reached all the eleven wards. Through this program, we provided cash donations and distributed start-up tools to help individuals kickstart their own businesses. Today I’m here to facilitate the registeration of over 200 students in private schools for JAMB examination. This is to complement the tremendous efforts of the state Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello who recently procured JAMB Forms for over 15,000 students of public schools across the state. I have to complement the efforts of my Boss by coming to the aid of those in private schools. As we move forward, more programs focused on the welfare of the people will be initiated, towards ensuring that the benefits of my representation reach all of you,” Hon. Yahaya said.

Hon. Yahaya also seized the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Kogi state Governor over the appointment of Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh as the Transition Committee Chairman of Omala LGA. He assured the council Boss of his unwavering support for his Administration.

During his address, the Transition Committee Chairman of the local government, Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh, expressed his admiration for the Assembly member’s commendable initiative and encouraged him to continue his efforts.

Hon. Ameh guaranteed his collaboration and synergy with the lawmaker in various developmental areas. He also issued a caution to mischief makers, urging them to refrain from engaging in divisive acts that have the potential to disrupt harmony among leaders.

Highlights of the event was the award of scholarship by the legislator for the candidate who achieves the highest score in the forthcoming JAMB examination. The Lawmaker pledged to foot all tuition fees, from the beginning to the end of the program, in any higher institution of the recipient’s choice within Nigeria.

Dignitaries present at the event include; the Secretary of Omala LGA, Hon Simeon Omale, District Head and Onu Abejukolo, Alh. Suleiman Abimaje, Hon. Matthew Ochada (HMO), Supervisor Councillors, Omala APC chairman, Shehu Alih, Hon. Jonalson Atanu, Omala Education Secretary and a host of others.
