Ojogba coronates Abubakar Ibrahim as Ochada Onu’Ife


 

The ancient town of Abejukolo, headquarter of Omala Local Government Area, LGA in Kogi State came alive on Friday.

An Abuja based businessman and politician Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim was that day honoured with a chieftaincy title by the Onu Ife, His Royal Highness Boniface Usman Musa.

Abubakar scion of former Governor Ibrahim Idris is of the Onu Ife (Ojogba) royal lineage. He was coronated as OCHADA ONU’IFE by the Ojogba at a colourful ceremony in his palace at Abejukolo.

About eight persons were coronated with chieftaincy titles. The title Ochada which literally means ‘hunter.’ ‘supporter’ or underscores the Awardee’s contributions to community development in the area.

The ceremony attracted a sea of heads made up of Abubakar’s friends, family members and associates from different parts of the State.

Addressing the people, the new OCHADA-Onu Ife, noted that his turbaning will serve as a challenge and an encouragement to do more for the development his fatherland, the State and Nigeria at large.

The former governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP admonished the citizens to embrace peace, unity and tranquility as the surest platform to I’ll aqfast-track meaningful development to the area.

Chief Abubakar appreciated the Ojogba for finding him worthy of a cabinet position and promised to continue to do all within his powers for the upliftment of the kingdom.
