The Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has expressed his heartfelt dismay and sadness at the painful exit of a Great academia, Prof. mathew Ajibero, whom he described an intellectual giant and a community leader with records of impacts to his favour.
Asiwaju in his message of commiseration, said the death of Prof Ajibero, truly comes as a rude shock and severely painful to say the least, but the fact remain, the mightiness of God and his ways can never be questioned. He giveth and taketh, saying despite the sour feeling, we have enormous reasons to celebrate the life and times of the erstwhile Kogi State Polythecnic longest serving Rector, because he was a blessing to humanity and the Academic community.
In his words” Professor Ajibero, in his lifetimes, was a close father figure to me, revered mentor, shining role model, an erudite scholar, a quetissential administrator, proud abroginal of Owe land and an illustrious son of Okun Nation. His stellar performance and giant strides while he led Kogi State Polythecnic as the Rector, set the citadel of learning on a progressive path which has now become a reference point in the community of Higher institutions”.
The Honourable Commissioner said the family, friends, associates, Academic community, Owe land and Kogi state at large has lost an invaluable asset and intellectual export to the world. He was an Enigma and a Rare gem.
He prayed God Almighty will forgive him all his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in the heavenly bossom. He prayed that the comfort and fortitude needed to bear these irreplaceable lost will be granted on the family and other lovers of Prof.
