The principal partner of R.O and CO, Dr Ruben Atabo Okpanachi SAN, has been inducted in to the Ebony Herald Hall of Fame and dignity 2022.
Dr Atabo SAN was inducted alongside other eminent Nigerians at an event organized by the Ebony Herald international Magazine, with the theme”2023: of Politicking,Religion, Ethnicity and Insecurity.What is the way forward? and Book presentation,titled Dreams of our fathers, at the Grace- Bliss event Center, Silver mall Sagwari Dutse, federal Capital territory ( fct)Abuja, Wednesday 16th November,2022.
Speaking to the media shortly after the investiture,Dr Atabo SAN expressed profound gratitude for the honor accorded him by the Ebony Herald international Magazine and publishers, adding that the recognition was a mark of honor and identification,more so that it was coming from a highly respected and reputable section which has been adjudged to be the watchdog of the Society.
Dr Atabo SAN,who dedicated the award to the memory of his late mother who exited this World on the 11th August 2011, further stressed that the award would propel him to do more for the Society and humanity in general.
He applauded the Ebony Herald international Magazine and publishers for a well organized Ceremony, and also praised them for indentifying hard working Nigerians who had impacted positively to humanity,he described the award ceremony as a well come development and a wake up call for hard work and excellence.
Hear him, ” as you can see even within a short notice, the award ceremony is well organized, the awardees cut across all the sections of the Society, the academia, the bussines, legal profession, the military and people from other security agencies made the list of awardees,so the Ebony Herald international has done a great job.”
Speaking earlier, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ebony Herald international Magazine and Publishers, Lai Gidado said the Significance of the award ceremony which has now become an annual event, was aimed at preaching the unity and greatness of Nigeria as a nation and the need for it existence as one indivisible political entity.
Continuing,Lai Gidado noted that the need to identify some of the Challenges bedeviling Nigeria’s March to greatness and proffer workable solutions also underscore the ensense of the ceremony, as reflected in the theme of this year’s event,”2023:of Politicking, Religion, Ethnicity and Insecurity.what is the way forward?.”he said.
Responding to some of the issues in the theme of the event and the lecture delivered during the book presentation, which he equally Chaired,Atabo SAN urged Nigerians to eschew and discountenance religious and ethnic sentiment while making their choice on whom to vote in the 2023 election, stressing that religion and politics are two separate words literally and Contextually, saying that our basics for making Choice in an election Should be the Competence and Capacity of the candidates.he called on those seeking political offices to desist from using religion as strategy for wooing the electorates,even as he warned of it divisive and destructive consequences.
