Otunba Adeniyi Olayemi aka So’Miedumare, Kogi West Peoples Democratic Party Senatorial District Aspirant has joined in mourning the death of Prof. Matthew Idowu Ajibero, says a big vacuum has been created in Kogi West Peoples Democratic Party with the demise of the elderstatesman.
The PDP Senatorial District Aspirant in a statement said it is with a heavy heart that the devastating news of the demise of one of the finest of Kabba (Owe)/Okun patriots and illustrious sons, an erudite scholar and administrator par excellence who served two terms meritoriously as the Rector of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, a major pillar of the Party in the Western Senatorial District, whose death occurred yesterday in Ilorin after a protracted illness hit him like a thunderbolt.
The PDP Senatorial District Aspirant said the death is a monumental loss to the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi West and Kogi State PDP in general.
He described Professor Matthew Idowu Ajibero as an elder statesman who turned around the fortune of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja when he held sway as the Rector, described him as a worthy Chieftain of the Party From Kogi West Senatorial District.
Otunba Adeniyi described Prof. Ajibero as a distinguished personality and one of the major Party stakeholders that supported the party wholeheartedly in the Western Senatorial District said he will be greatly missed.
Otunba Adeniyi enjoined the PDP family in Kogi West to take solace in the words of God which says for everything under the sun there is time, a time to be born, and time to die.
The Senatorial District Aspirant urged the wife of the deceased and children he left behind to continue to uphold his legacies of hard work, simplicity, perseverance, truthfulness and honesty, said his memories will continue forever remain in the minds of Kogi West Senatorial District PDP now and always.
