With the commencement of the month of Ramadan, Muslim ummah have been charged to make adequate preparation to welcome the month in good spirit.
Chief Imam of Lokoja Central Mosque, Sheikh Aminu Shaaban gave the advice in Lokoja at a Ramadan lecture series organized by Kogi State Council of Ulamaa.
Sheikh Aminu noted that the month of Ramadan offers opportunities for Muslims to seek for forgiveness and repentance for their sins as well as devote themselves in prayer and establish a connection with Allah.
He added that Ramadan comes with unlimited blessings, hence the need for the ummah to make adequate preparations to welcome the month.
In a remark, Chairman of the event and Grand Khadi Sharia Court of Appeal Kogi State, Justice ABDULKARIM Aruwa appreciated Council of Ulamaa for the organizing the program and thanked the Muslims for maintaining peaceful coexistence in the state.
Highlight of the event included recitation of the Glorious Qur’an and prayers for peace and unity among Nigerians.
