The PDP REVAMP Ambassadors Group, known as PRAG has rejected, what it described as INEC stupidity of declaring an election inconclusive where PDP is in clear lead.
The group statement signed by it’s National Coordinator, Comrade Ambassador Onibiyo Dayo, said “INEC irresponsibilities under Mr. Yaqub Mamud is calling for mass action to safe democracy from another collapse, which is avoidable by standing on the truth and using facts rather than approximation methodology to suite those using stolen tax payers’ money to deny people’s will. The statement added that, the idea of inconclusive election has eaten deeper into our system from the Osun election, four years ago where Ademola Jackson Adeleke was robbed openly.
The group calls for immediate prosecution of INEC and it’s leadership over what it called their inability to operate as stated in their Constitutional powers and it’s failures to release results without allowing it to be tampered with.
It noted that, most results were released only when people start mobilizing towards collation centre in the 21st century, making mockery of the nation in the eyes of the global community.
It said, if INEC could declare someone winner and he heads for the court, what else do you need to know that the election is incredible citing the Tinubu case as an example.
PRAG therefore, call on INEC to declare Kebbi, Adamawa and Enugu results without further delay, while it asked it to reverse itself on Nassarawa and Kaduna where again it’s name is called to questioning.
The group warned politicians and Nigerians generally, not to allow INEC push the nation back to 1983 when democracy failed as a result of several manipulations, violence and intimation like done in Lagos and other places, which were ultimately resisted in some places particularly in old Ondo state then when NPN’s omoboriowo and Shagari were declared against the wish of the majority of the people.
