MAAI CONGRATULATES THE NEWLY INAUGURATED EXECUTIVE CHAIRMEN, VICE AND ALL COUNSELORS, TASK THEM ON GOOD GOVERNANCE

The Honourable commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic planning who doubles as the leader of APC in Yagba land, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA has sent his congratulatory message to all the newly inaugurated 21 council chairmen, vice chairperson and 239 wards counselors, saying era of politicking is over, now the arduous task of governance should be the focus.

In his message of felicitation released through his media aide, said that the peaceful and smooth outcome of the election speaks volume of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s leadership capacity and ideology, saying he created atmosphere for the conduct of the election by a KOSIEC enlisted with men of impeccable character, deep intellectual quotient and apolitical disposition. GYB made it happen, which validates his democratic credential and stand on the side of the people.

Mukadam Asiwaju also commended the leadership hierarchy, stakeholders and party members that worked assidiously around the clock, preaching the party’s manifestos and ideology, saying as beneficiaries of the party’s goodwill and subsequent victory at the poll- as chairmen and counselors, the progress and enlargement of the party must be well prioritize in your heart and plans. The resounding victory recorded at poll is a clear testament that kogi state is APC, oppositions are mere onlookers. Continue to support the party to succeed in anyway you can.

He charged the newly inaugurated council bosses and there legislative members to prioritize the welfare and wellbeing of the the people, which forms the fulcrum and core of the New direction government led by H.E Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello. You must be seen to replicate His Excellency’s giant strides at the state level also at the grassroot root- which includes water tight security, religious balance, broken walls of tribalism, fiscal responsibility, Educational advancement, Agricultural Renaissance, improve in IGR, Health intervention programmes and improve in the economic potential of each local Government.

In his words, “at a very uncertain and dire Economic situation we are in, you all need to put on your thinking caps on how to generate revenue and change the narrative of governance in your local domain”. At the state level we are working very hard in “Doing more” to change the socio-economic and political situation at the state, saying you must all move with the same momentum, if not higher, because our people needs breath of fresh air- huge impact of good governance.

As you kick start another journey of service to the people, the confidence and trust repose on you by your constituents must not be abused, rather keep focus on people oriented programmes and policies, then watch how posterity will speak well of you. Much more, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello will be happy he made the right choice out of many good options.
