LP National Chairman, Abure Not Arrested – Sam Uroupa

The Edo State chapter of Labour Party (LP) has debunked the rumour going round on social media that the National Chairman of LP, Barr. Julius Abure has been arrested today by the combined efforts of DSS and Police at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja this afternoon.

In a press statement issued and signed by the State Publicity Secretary (SPS), Comrade Sam Uroupa said the rumour is false and unfounded, as it only exist in the figment of imaginations of the so-called writers.

The statement reads in party: “The Edo State Publicity Secretary and Image maker of the Edo State Labour Party, (LP), Comrade Sam Uroupa has debunked the rumour making the round in social media that the National Chairman of LP, Barr. Julius Abure was arrested early this afternoon in Abuja.

“The rumour is false and unfounded, it is in the figment of the imaginations of the writers.

“I have just spoken with the National Chairman on phone, he’s right in his duty post diligently discharging his constitutional functions without any form of hindrance.

“Labour Party Nigeria is the emerging largest political party in sub Sahara Africa and its National Chairman, Barr. Julius Abure is a perfect gentleman without blemishes and skeleton in his cupboard. He has nurtured and grow the party to global prominence with utmost integrity and humility.

“We of the Labour Party wonder why the mudslingers like Mr. Curtis Eghosa Ugbo and his cohorts are wanting to dent his perfect credentials of global repute.”
