Lokoja Local Government Gets New DLG


 

Alhaji Aliyu Musa Omuwa has been appointed to serve as the new Director of Local government for Lokoja local government council.

He defeated eight other personnel who competed with him for the same post at an interview conducted for them by the government’s department in charged for the elevation.

Speaking from the sideline of his new posting , Alhaji Aliyu Omuwa disclosed that his promotion to the office is a litmus test for him to deliver quality service and fast track good governance through the instrumentality of administrative procedures

He promised to work in tandem with the new direction team of Governor Yahaya Ballo administration’s tailored at enabling the chairman of Lokoja local government council, hon. Mohammed Ndasebe to deliver on his campaigned promises to the citizens.

Alhaji Aliyu Omuwa observed that effort would be made towards exploring the untapped human and material resources as a pathway to increase the revenue base of the council judging from the fact that the council required substantial resources to provide social amenities , security of lives and properties of the citizens and provide welfare packages to the people.

He appealed to staffers to redouble their efforts to improve productivity as the council under his administrative watch will not condole any sharp practices .

Alhaji Aliyu Omuwa therefore assured the Governor, the council boss ,staff and the good people of the area of his resolved to work towards putting the area on the map of sustainable development and growth during his tenure as the council’s DLG.
