…Assures of Security, Workers Welfare Amongst Other Programs.
Hon. Abdullahi Adamu, Caretaker Chairman of Lokoja LGA, has assumed office amidst wide jubilation from staff and people of the Local Government.
The Chairman who was received at the Lokoja LGC secretariat by management, staff, Party faithful, assured that the security of lives and properties would top his administration priority.
Hon. Abdullahi while addressing the crowd disclosed that security, welfare of staff remains his top priority.
While he appreciated that welfare of workers have remained a challenge over time, promised to improve on the welfare and motivation of workers towards improve productivity.
Similarly, the Council Chairman said he will improve on the health welfare package for staff, pointing out that he will within the available resources Implement program and policies that would improve on the lives and well-being of the people.
He promised a robust Youth empowerment programs, assured of
very frank and down to earth policies for the people, emphasized on the need to promote the APC, a party that has given him the opportunity to serve.
While he assured Students of the Local Government a sense of belonging within the limit of available resources, promised to give attention to
Market women to enable them grow their businesses.
The Chairman thank God for his appointment, expressed gratitude to Gov. Yahaya Bello and the Gov. Elect, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, promised to justify the confidence reposed on him.
The Chairman also appreciated the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Suleiman Baba Ali, the APC leadership at all levels, Youths and women for the opportunity to serve, promised purposeful and sincere leadership that would meet with the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
While noting that his appointment remains a privilege, pointed out that he is not the best amongst those who aspired, thanked those who contested the position with him, described their sportsmanship spirit as unrivaled.
The Council Chairman disclosed that he will follow the leadership structure of the APC in wealth and resource distribution, urged members of the APC to return to their Wards in propagating the ideals of the Party.
Highlights of the resumption of office by the Chairman was prayers by Mallam Shiek Abubakar, Pastor Abu Michael, who all prayed for the success of the administration.
In attendance at the resumption was the Assembly Member Representing Lokoja 1, Caretaker Chairman, Bassa LGA Bassa Chairman, the
Balogun of Yoruba in Lokoja amongst other top notable personalities.
