
Lokoja/Koto Stakeholders Reaffirm Support for Unity and Continuity Ahead of 2027 Elections

Stakeholders from the Lokoja/Kogi Koto Federal Constituency held a consultative meeting at the official lodge of the Speaker of the House of Assembly to discuss common priorities and strengthen collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Attendees included party leaders, community representatives, political actors, and supporters from across the constituency.
At the meeting, participants expressed support for continued representation by Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi for Kogi West Senatorial District.
The group also acknowledged the following candidates for continued engagement with the people: Hon. Danladi Aguye for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency; Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar for Lokoja II State Assembly; Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani for Lokoja I State Assembly; Umar Adamu Mayaki for Kogi II State Assembly; and Hon. Aliyu Dauda for Kogi I State Assembly.
In a resolution reached at the meeting, stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and grassroots-driven leadership. They noted that maintaining cohesion and focusing on the collective interest of the constituency would best serve the needs of the people.
The gathering highlighted ongoing consultations at the ward, polling unit, and community levels as part of efforts to sustain dialogue and strengthen participatory representation.
Participants described the discussions as constructive and expressed hope that the spirit of collaboration would continue to guide political engagements in the constituency.
