As the Local Government Election begins across the state, the ancient city of Okene remain peaceful as electorate were seen at their respective voting points ready to vote.
The candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad cast his vote at unit 17, Orietesu ward at about 10am amidst cheers from jubilant crowd and voters.
Engr. Abdulrazaq expressed happiness on the orderly conduct of the exercise and commend Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOISEC) for the peaceful conduct of the election.
In Abuga/Ozuja, Obehira-Uvete, Idoji, Lafia, Okene-eba/Agassa/Ahache, Bariki wards councilorship candidates also casted their votes with large turnout of voters.
