KOGI STATE HEALTH INSURANCE AGENCY COMMENCES BIOMETRIC ENROLMENT OF POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS FOR THE FORMAL SECTOR PLAN


Kogi State Health Insurance Agency on Monday commenced the biometric enrolment of Kogi State Political Office holders into the formal health insurance plan of the Agency.

 

The Secretary to Kogi State government, Dr Folashade Arike Ayo-Ade was the first to be enrolled in her office located opposite the popular Muhammed Buhari Square, Lokoja.

The Executive Secretary of Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, Dr Adekunle Aledare said the agency will continue to provide access to equitable and affordable health care services to all the residents of Kogi State to attain the universal health coverage by the year 2030.

Dr Aledare further said the formal sector plan for the civil servants in Kogi State government payroll will go a long way to confer financial risk protection and health security to workers in the state.

The Executive Secretary applauded Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for approving the participation of the political office holders and civil servants in Kogi state in the formal health sector insurance plan.

He maintained that the programme will reduce the huge financial burden in the face of the rising cost of health care services across the globe.

He expressed the firm confidence that the beneficiaries of all the health insurance will get the quality services they deserve.
