According to the Honorable Commissioner, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi’s appointment as the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja by the Governing Council of the university couldn’t come at a better time than now that the institution needs a dedicated scholar whose wealth of experience will help transform the school.
Honorable Omofaiye noted that considering Professor Akinwumi’s giant contributions to the various Institutions he has served in as a committed and outstanding educationists and researchers over the years, this appointment is a recognition of that dedication.
He appreciated the Governing Council for considering Professor Akinwumi who he described as a brother and an incredible academician.
Honorable Omofaiye called on students and staff of the University to work collectively with the new head to move the University to greater heights.
He prayed God to grant the Professor the wisdom to pilot the affairs of his new office.
