Kogi Speaker Mourns the Demise of Former GOC 2nd Division Ibadan, Major General Emmanuel Funsho Abejirin (rtd)


 

 

Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the forthcoming General Elections in 2023, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole has received with shocked and grief the news of the untimely demise of an accomplished retired military officer, who served Nigeria meritoriously, an Owe/Okun patriot, a community leader, former GOC 2nd Division Ibadan, Major General Emmanuel Funsho Abejirin (rtd)
who died yesterday after a protracted illness.

 

The Speaker said it is devastating and painful to lose such a prominent community leader whose activities towards the overall development of the community, okun nation and humanity cannot be over emphasized.
He commiserate and sympathizes with his immediate family, Mr Michael Abejirin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman, Okun Area Traditional Council, His Royal Highness, Oba Mike Yusuf, the Obadofin of Oweland, His Royal Highness, Oba Michael Ibinaiye, the Obajemu of Oweland and the good people of Kabba (Owe) Kingdom over the sudden demise of Major General Emmanuel Funsho Abejirin (rtd)

Speaker Kolawole said it is painful to have lost a prominent personality like him in Oweland/Okun nation at this time but takes solace in the words of God which says, there is time to be born and time to die as a mortal, praying that God will give his immediate family and the community the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable and irreparable lose.

It is on this note that Rt. Hon. Matthew O. Kolawole behalf of his family, the people of Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, members, management and staff of the assembly wish to sympathize and commiserate with the family on the death of their beloved brother, husband, father, and grandfather, Major General Emmanuel Funsho Abejirin (rtd)
