Kogi Solid Minerals Commissioner Charges APC Executives to Mobilize for 2027 Victory

The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, has charged the newly inaugurated All Progressives Congress (APC) executives in Kogi Local Government Area to hit the ground running and work towards delivering victory for the party in the 2027 general election.
Gegu gave the charge on Tuesday during the official inauguration of the LGA and ward executives held in Kogi LGA. The event saw the swearing-in of the newly elected APC LGA Chairman and the 11 ward chairmen across the council.
Describing the APC as “progressive personified,” the commissioner said the achievements of the APC-led administration in the state should serve as motivation for grassroots mobilization. He urged party officials to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Kogi LGA has already adopted Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a return to Lugard House,” Gegu said. “There is no vacancy in Lugard House come 2027. The yearning and aspirations of our people are being met by the APC-led administration.”
He directed the new executives to begin grassroots mobilization immediately, with the goal of securing a total sweep for APC candidates in the presidential, senatorial, House of Representatives, and state assembly elections.
Gegu expressed optimism that the party’s track record in infrastructure, social welfare, and rural development would translate into overwhelming support at the polls. He called on the executives to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the party’s vision.
The inauguration is part of ongoing efforts by the APC in Kogi State to strengthen its structure ahead of the 2027 elections. Party leaders at the event echoed the commissioner’s call for early mobilization and unity across all levels.
With Kogi LGA considered a key area for the ruling party, the newly inaugurated executives are expected to play a central role in consolidating APC’s support base in the district.
