The Kogi State Police Command has deployed a crack team of its men to rescue Alh Ozi Salami,
Alhaji Salami is a board member of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC).
Alhaji Ozi Salami was kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Information reaching the Nigerianpost said he was kidnapped in the early hours of this morning while on his way to the mosque to observe his early morning prayers.
Alhaji Salami was kidnapped in Ogaminana while on a visit to his country home.
The Police Public Relations Office, SP Williams Ayah, who confirmed the kidnap, said the police is doing everything possible to rescue him unhurt.
Eye witness report disclosed that one person was killed during the kidnap. The kidnappers according to eye witness was said to have identified and mentioned the name of the board Chairman while he was being kidnapped.
