Kogi PDP Chairman Debunks Suspension Claims of LG, Ward Chairmen, Says Party United for 2027

The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Muhammed Sanni Gambo, has dismissed reports of the suspension of the Bassa LGA and Mozum Ward Chairmen, describing the information as misinformation.

Addressing a press conference in Lokoja, Hon. Gambo said the Kogi PDP remains “one big family united with one purpose to win all the elections in 2027.”

He stressed that unity and cohesiveness of the party in the state remain his major concern, clarifying that “no chairman in the state and ward has been suspended.”

The PDP chairman called on party members to work towards peace and unity, noting that his focus is on winning more seats in the National Assembly elections before the party “takes over Lugard House.”

He urged aggrieved members, “if there is still any,” to put the past behind them, adding that the PDP is committed to brotherhood.

“There is no division, no faction amongst members of the party,” Gambo said. He explained that the leadership and stakeholders have, over the past weeks, resolved all lingering issues.

He asked members and the public to disregard any information trending online about suspension of Bassa LG and Mozum Ward Chairmen, describing such reports as fake news.
