KOGI NLC BOSS COMMENDS GOV YAHAYA BELLO FOR APPROVING PROMOTIONS IMPLEMENTATION


 

 

Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Onu Edoka has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for approving the implementation of promotions for workers.

 

Comrade Edoka gave the commendation on Tuesday at the close of a two-day ethical training for labour leaders and workers at the NULGE House in Lokoja.

According to him, the implementation of promotions will cover up to twenty eighteen, while approval was also given for the conduct of 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 promotions.

The Kogi NLC Chairman expressed appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello for identifying with the workforce and assured of their support in all government policies and programmes.

He noted that the training was meant to broaden the knowledge of labour leaders, stressing that knowledge acquisition is a continuous exercise.

Comrade Edoka thanked the Resource person for initiating the Centre, stressing that the knowledge gained would help at strengthening their workplaces.

He maintained that any responsible labour organization must provide learning process for labour leaders and members.

Edoka also thanked the state NULGE president, Tade Adyemi, MHWUN Chairman, Gabriel Amari and others for their immense contributions towards the success of the training.

The State NLC boss stated that Under his leadership, an NLC Secretariat has been acquired for efficient administration and advised against unnecessary criticisms.

The NLC Chairman directed that all the participants be converted to the state level students of the NLC which will commence in the next few weeks.

The training, according to the Director, Ethics and self Value Orientation,
Prince Salih Musa Yakubu noted that the ethical workshop would equip participants with relevant skills and conduct in the workplace.
