In the last seven years of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello new direction government, the system had nurtured and produced Leaders with visionary sight amongst which is Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidate for November governorship candidate duly elected to succeed His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello based on his proven innovative ideas and consistent commitment as a team player who has served as the Auditor General for Local Government.
Hon Usman Ododo had in several gathering recognizes the need to consolidate on the sustainable development which requires a diversified economy that goes beyond traditional sectors; championing the initiatives of attracting investments, stimulating entrepreneurship enclaves, and creating an enabling environment for industries to thrive in Kogi State whilst focusing on sectors such as agriculture, and advanced technology that generates employment opportunities to enhances the positive standard of living her citizens.
He understands the critical importance of developing a comprehensive plan to modernize and expand the state infrastructures which includes roads, adequate power supply, and transportation networks to attract investors, and create a conducive environment for businesses to flourish.
Whilst agricultural enhancement and productivity remains the cardinal point of the present administration of President Ahmed Bola Ahmed led governance, Hon Usman Ododo recognizes the immense potentiality of agriculture in driving Kogi’s economic growth towards ensuring sustainable livelihood for farmers thereby contributing to national food security as visioned in Tinubu’s actions plan of a Renewed Hope.
As a team player, Hon Usman Ododo will no doubts consolidate and implement policies/initiatives to improve the quality of education in Kogi State and also, provide feasible vocational training, and promote lifelong learning by equipping the youths with relevant skills.
As Kogi State looks towards the future, embracing Ododo’s visionary sight becomes necessary in other to provide a clear path towards a progressive sets stage for all inclusivity of Kogites.
I therefore, call on the good people of Kogi State to embrace the Ododo’s visionary sight as we approach Kogi governorship poll comes November 11, 2023 because only visionary leaders with visionary sight like Ahmed Usman Ododo possess the unique ability to see beyond the present challenges and also, envision a brighter future for state prosperity.
