… Visits Government Girls Secondary Ogbonicha.
As part of efforts by the Kogi State Government to ensure that students on National Exchange Program to the State are well catered for, the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, today paid a surprise visit to Government Girls Secondary Ogbonicha.
The Commissioner described the National Exchange Program as a program that has met its desired objectives in terms of integration and quality learning, reason why priority he disclosed is given to it by the State Government by making sure that students on the exchange program are made comfortable.
The Commissioner who was accompanied to the school by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Idenyi, said he was in the school to see things for himself how the students are catered for.
He maintained that he’s also particular about the quality of food served the students amongst other things that makes up their comfort, assured them of the support of the state government.
He urged the students to take their studies very seriously and to ensure that the obey the rules and regulations guiding their state, said under the leadership of Gov. Yahaya Bello, the education sector has been repositioned for greater service delivery.
He added that under the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello, schools in the State have witnessed upgrade in Infrastructural Development, while learning and teaching has equally gotten the desired boost.
