Kogi Council Election: Results of Winners and Losers


The All Progressives Congress APC has won all the twenty one Chairmanship and two hundred and thirty nine councilorship seats in the state.

Announcing the results, the Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission, Mr Mamman Nda Eri said the APC candidates who emerged winners met the requirements of the Commission and the electoral Acts.

In the results, Joseph Omuya Salami polled seventy thousand eight hundred and fifteen to emerge winner in Adavi Local. While Mustapha Aliu Akaba in Ajaokuta Local Government Area polled 31, 340 votes to become winner.

Similarly, Ibrahim Abagwu won by 20, 400 votes to emerge winner in Ankpa Local Government while in Bassa Local Government Area, Mohammed Muktar Shuibu won by 11, 904.

In Dekina Local Government Shuibu Shiaka won by 103, 604 votes to be declared winner while Willam Ikojo Obiora emrged winer with 13, 190 votes with Abuh odoma of Idah emerging winner with 11,906 votes.

The candidate of APC in Igalamele Odolu Local Government, Onoja James emerged victorious with 11,906 with Taofiq Issah of Ijumi Local Government emerging victorious with 12, 136 votes.

Similarly Toloruleke Moses of Kabba Bunu Local Government won by 11, 171 votes while in Kogi local Government, Issah Abdulkareem was declared winner with 10, 924 votes.

Also a candidate of the party in Lokoja Local Government, Mohammed Dansebe polled 41,731 votes to emerged winner and Moses Sunday David of Mopamuro Local Government won by 6,248 to be declared winner.

Also in Offu Local Government, Ibrahim Amodu scored 12,800 votes to be declared winner, while Ogorimagongo Local Government Area, Goke Oparison was declared winner with 11,119 votes.

In Okehi, Abdulraheem Ohiare won by 64,676 votes to emerge winner while the Okene candidate Abdulrazak Mohammed Yusuf was declared winner with 113,210 votes.

Also in Olomaboro, Adejoh Friday, polled 54,928 votes to emerge winner and Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh of Omola Local Government won by 12,525 votes.

Ashiru Abdulrazak of yagba East Local Government Area scored 5,951 to emerged winner while Kolawola of Yagba West Local Government Area was declared with 5,825 votes
