Kogi APC Receives Defectors as Gov. Bello, Ododo, and Others Unveil Okun United for Ododo 2023.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has today witnessed a geometric influx of members of various opposition parties in Kabba during the official unveiling of the Okun United for Ododo/Joel 2023.

Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman were respectively represented in the programme by Hon. Abdullahi Bello who is the Kogi APC chairman and Hon. Wemi Jones, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology.

The programme which took place at the popular Olonijola event centre in Kabba had in attendance the Secretary to Kogi State Government, Dr Mrs Folashade Ayoade Arike, Commissioner for Finance Mukadam Ashiru Idris, Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf who was accompanied by members representing Kabba Bunu, Lokoja 1, Ajaokuta, Ijumu, Yagba West, Yagba East, MopaMuro.

Other stakeholders and opinion leaders who were present at the programme were Chief Adebanji Jimoh who is the Patron of the group, Hon Barr Alfred Bello Director General of the group, Hon. Prince Orebiyi, Commodore Jerry Omodara (Rtd), Hon. Olayemi Adeniyi, Hon. Matthew Kolawole, Hon. Omofaiye Hon. Eric Fiki and host of prominent leaders from Okun and Kogi West Senatorial District.

Various speakers at the programme appreciated Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello CON for the establishment of Kogi State University Kabba while they pledged to return the gesture with massive votes in the governorship election slated for November 11th, 2023.

A highlight of the programme was the public defection of members of the opposition parties with a pledge to be united for the success of the Ododo/Joel ticket.
