By joshua KABBA/BUNU LGA COMMENDS GOVERNOR AHMED USMAN ODODO FOR DEPLOYMENT OF ARMOURED SECURITY VEHICLES TO STRENGTHEN OPERATIONS IN KOGI STATE
The Executive Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr.) Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has warmly commended His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State, for the procurement and deployment of armoured protective vehicles to strengthen security operations across the state.
The Chairman described the Governor’s decision to order fifty armoured protective vehicles, with the first batch already delivered and deployed, as a bold, strategic, and visionary intervention that demonstrates the administration’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property.
According to the Chairman, the deployment of part of the first batch to Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area comes at a critical time and sends a strong message that the safety of citizens remains a top priority of the Ododo administration. He noted that the move will significantly enhance the operational capacity, mobility, and response effectiveness of security agencies working to combat kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities within the area and across Kogi State.
“This is not merely a procurement exercise; it is a decisive investment in the safety, confidence, and future of our people. Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has once again shown uncommon leadership, courage, and responsiveness in addressing security challenges confronting communities across Kogi State,” the Chairman stated.
Hon. Zacchaeus Dare Michael showered glowing encomiums on the Governor, describing him as a people-centered leader whose actions continue to reflect genuine concern for the welfare, peace, and prosperity of all residents of the state. He added that the visible improvements in security coordination, infrastructure, social welfare interventions, and grassroots engagement under the current administration have further strengthened public confidence in government.
The Chairman assured the Governor that the government and people of Kabba/Bunu LGA stand firmly behind the administration’s efforts and will continue to cooperate with security agencies through intelligence sharing, community vigilance, and lawful support mechanisms aimed at defeating criminal elements.
He also expressed appreciation to the security agencies, local vigilante groups, traditional institutions, and community stakeholders whose sacrifices continue to support ongoing security operations within the Local Government Area.
“Kabba/Bunu remains deeply grateful to His Excellency for this timely intervention. We are confident that the deployment of these armoured protective vehicles will further consolidate the ongoing security gains and move us closer to the collective goal of a safer, more secure Kogi State for all,” he concluded.
