By joshua NJFP: Nurturing Next Generation of Leaders — DG KICTDA Hails Fellow’s Impact On Digital Transformation
The Director General, Kogi State Information Communication Technology Development Agency, KICTDA, Bashir Tenuche has commended the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme, NJFP, for creating practical opportunities for young Nigerian graduates to build capacity and contribute to national development.
Speaking during an NJFP engagement with stakeholders in Kogi State, the Director General, described the programme as a “remarkable initiative” that is bridging the gap between graduation and employment for Nigerian youths.
“The programme has created valuable opportunities for young Nigerian graduates to gain practical work experience, build professional capacity, and contribute meaningfully to national development,” the agency stated.
The Director General noted that it is one of the beneficiary organizations of NJFP, with several talented fellows currently deployed to the agency. According to the Director General, the fellows have played a significant role in driving its digital transformation initiatives while also gaining mentorship and workplace experience.
“Their dedication, innovation, and professionalism have demonstrated the immense potential of Nigerian youths when given the right platform to grow and succeed,” DG KICTDA said.
The agency used the occasion to encourage Kogi graduates to engage with the NJFP team and take advantage of the programme. “As the NJFP team engages with the people of Kogi State today, I encourage our young graduates to learn more about the programme and position themselves to benefit from the numerous opportunities it offers.”
DG KICTDA also commended NJFP, the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, and other partners for their commitment to youth empowerment and workforce development.
“Together, we are nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change-makers,” the agency added.
The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme is a Federal Government initiative implemented in partnership with UNDP, designed to place 20,000 graduates annually in private and public sector organizations to gain 12 months of hands-on work experience.
